  • We are conveniently located at 36 N. Main Street, Fond du Lac, WI. This is our new location as of 2026!

  • Customer parking is available both in front (street parking on Main Street) and in the parking lot in the rear of the building. We have a front and back entrance for your convenience. The front entrance is wheelchair-accessible.

  • Yes, Edith’s is fully accessible. The front entrance is at street level, and all public areas of our store are on the main floor and are ADA-compliant, including our restroom. (Please note our back entrance has steps, but the front entrance is just a short distance around the block.)

  • To ensure our staff is available to assist and give you our full attention, we require appointments for some of our services such as bridal and tuxedo/suit. Please use our Book Appointment link to schedule. For prom/homecoming, mother’s dresses, special occasion, and other formal wear shopping, walk-ins are welcome.

  • Our women’s items are available in Juniors, Misses, Petites, and Women’s Plus. See the Bridal/Wedding section for additional sizing information.

    Our tuxedos and suits are available in Boys and Men sizes.  See Tuxedo/Suits section for more details.

  • We do not offer alterations in-house, but can provide you a list of trusted local alteration services.

  • A deposit and signed contract is required for all special order merchandise, with 50% down at the time of order.

    There is a $50 deposit required for tuxedo/suit rentals.

  • Due to the nature of our business, all sales are final.

  • Yes, to ensure our staff is available, we require an appointment. Please use our Book Appointment link to schedule. There is no charge for our standard bridal try-on appointments.

  • Special order wedding dresses should be purchased a minimum of nine months before your wedding date to allow ample time for order fulfillment and alterations.

  • Yes, we have wedding dresses in several styles available in our store for immediate purchase.  We offer a variety of sizes.

  • We have sample try-on wedding dresses in a variety of sizes.

  • Most brides need to buy gowns two sizes up from their “street size” or typical jeans size. For example, if you wear a size 8 in jeans, you may be a size 12 in bridal. In between sizes? Depending on the style and construction of the dress, many bridal gowns can be altered as much as two sizes smaller and one size larger.

  • Bring undergarments that you intend to wear on your wedding day.

  • Yes, we encourage you to bring those closest to you who will help you make a decision! No children under age 8, please.

  • Once your appointment is set and you arrive, we pair you with a bridal consultant who will listen to your wishes about your perfect dress. You will get to browse with your guests to pick out a few gowns for you to try on.  Your bridal consultant will assist with getting you into the dresses and make recommendations as needed.  No worries if you don’t find the one right away! You’re allowed ample time to try on various styles. And when you say YES to the dress, we will be there to help you celebrate the milestone.

  • Most of our wedding dresses are under $2,500.

  • Our tuxedo rental includes the full package: jacket, pants, shirt, vest, tie, and shoes.

  • We require tuxedo sizing be done 6 to 8 weeks prior to your event. For children, please come 2 to 4 weeks prior. If you come in less than 1 week prior to your event, a rush fee will apply.

  • Yes, but this is limited to in-stock items.  A rush fee may apply.

  • We no longer offer bridesmaid dresses.

  • We offer a limited selection of veils, headpieces, and more.
